In 1994 Tom was the first American private contractor to train the famed Spetsnaz Counter-Terrorism teams, as well as personnel from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Russian Criminal Investigation Division Homicide & Major Crimes, and numerous other units. Tom was recognized as an honorary member of the famed Red Berets, appointed Special Advisor to the Ministry, and honorary Chief Instructor of the CID/HMC division.
In the Philippines, Tom was the first non-Filipino adopted into the Dogeaters Warrior Tribe, and to have his knife system recognized by the Bacolod Negros Arnis-Kali Escrima Federation. With dedicated training and study, Tom also earned master ratings in six traditional Filipino Martial Arts.

Dr. John Sotis – Functional Neurology and Chiropractic Neurology
Dr. John Sotis is a chiropractic physician and a board certified functional neurologist, a title held by a small percentage in the chiropractic profession. He received his baccalaureate degree in psychology from the University of Rhode Island in 1980, continued there for 2 additional years of study in pre-med, then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. There, he completed 2 internships, served as the head intern in a private clinic during his senior year, then graduated Cum Laude as a member of the International Chiropractic Honor Society in 1986.
Dr. Sotis opened his private practice in 1987 and completed a 2-year post graduate course of study in clinical neurology under Dr. Frederick Carrick, professor emeritus of Carrick Institute for Post Graduate Studies. Upon graduation, he received certification for his course of study in Post-doctoral neurology and was admitted to the American Board of Chiropractic Neurology as a diplomate. Since that time, he has continued to renew his board certification annually as he maintains his private practice.
Dr. Sotis has studied directly under Dr. Robert Melillo, world-renowned chiropractor, functional neurologist, professor, researcher, and author of the books Disconnected Kids and Reconnected Kids. This course of study qualifies Dr. Sotis to practice hemispheric integration, a drugless, brain-based method of treating ADHD, OCD’s, learning disabilities, dyspraxia, sensory processing disorders, Tourette’s, brain injuries, and autism spectrum disorders. He is a member of the International Association of Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation and is a registered scholar of the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies.
Dr. Sotis is an active public speaker, lecturing regularly in school departments throughout Rhode Island and neighboring states. He has served as a speaker for The Matty Fund (a children’s epilepsy support group), the Mario DeLagratta OCD Awareness Foundation, CHADD (Children & Adults with ADHD), United Services, and Community Provider Networks.
